Member Spotlight: Cecilia Orozco Romo

Meet Cecilia Orozco Romo! She’s a 22-year-old biomedical engineering student in her last semester of study. Cecilia is a research assistant in the Neurohumanities Lab project, where they’re working on creating an immersive booth that can detect emotions in people to make learning even more fun and engaging. Cecilia’s focus is on processing data from EEG and ECG signals. But that’s not all! Cecilia is also involved in the Biomechanics Digital Twin project, where she’s working on developing algorithms to analyze the performance and technique of taekwondo athletes. Her goal is to help make training more efficient and effective by using cutting-edge technology to measure body movement. We’re excited to see where Cecilia’s talents take her in the future!
